I. STRUCTURE OF PERFECT QUARTES
"Maye - Rast" in combination with "Husseini"
Then "Vilayati" section follows. The peculiar
feature of this section is that the first phrase in the beginning of
the 2-nd bar ends with the tonic quinte. The response phrase must end
in the same quinte.
As there is a fair distance between the quinte and the tonic, it is
necessary to response to the tonic by means of gradual transitions.
Therefore, the first sentence of "Vilayati" requires its response
sentence to stop in the tonic third.
Then the variant of the first sentence of "Husseini"
follows and then the response sentence borrowed from "Maye-Rast".
The first sentence of "Vilayati" requires repetitions
in variations. "Maye-Rast" in combination with "Husseini"
and "Vilayati":
